The stores to close in Westchester County are at the Midway Shopping Center in Scarsdale and the one in the Cortlandt Town Center in Mohegan Lake. The company is also shutting its store at the Woodbury Town Center in Harriman.

The company has secured $700 million in debtor-in-possession financing from General Electric Capital Corp.

Counties slap state spending plan http://www.westchestercountybusiness.com/archive/032408/news/news03280801.php4 A dozen county executives and others representing the interests of New York’s counties voiced concern and anger over the state’s proposed budget plans.

During a conference call with reporters throughout the state on Friday, the assembled executives said the state government is proposing to decrease the amount of money it contributes to counties to help pay for state-mandated programs.
