GIRL SCOUTS OF THE USA announced
that it received a one-year $200,000 grant from the New
York Life Foundation to support its new school-based
enrichment pilot program School Success Clubs, for middle
school girls in Peekskill and Poughkeepsie, along with
additional programs in New York City and Boston. School
Success Clubs offer girls in underserved communities
the opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout Leadership
Experience before, during and after school. In Westchester
County the curriculum is primarily focused on financial
literacy, as requested by the individual schools. Girls
are learning budgeting skills, goal setting and maintaining
financial responsibility. Activities began with short-term
financial goals, such as developing budgets for holiday
shopping and learning to be an informed consumer.
LISA MONTANARO of Warwick,
a local certified professional organizer and owner of
LM Organizing Solutions L.L.C., a professional services
firm offering organizing, business and life coaching
and motivational speaking services in Warwick, was admitted
to the National Speakers Association. The association
is the leading organization for professional speakers,
eligible only to those who have achieved a certain level
of professional speaking engagements. Her background
as a lawyer, educator and performer has provided her
with years of experience and expertise in speaking before

NORTHERN DUTCHESS HOSPITAL in
Rhinebeck announced its department of medical imaging
received re-accredidation status for MRI (magnetic resonance
imaging) services by the American College of Radiology.
PROVIDENT BANK CHARITABLE FOUNDATION,
the corporate giving arm of Provident Bank, has contributed
$10,000 to Rockland Family Shelter Inc. in New City.
The funding will support the organization’s newly established
Comprehensive Crime Victims Assistance Program and will
enable Rockland Family Shelter to ensure that victims
receive follow-up counseling and support services as
needed.
TOTEL-NET LOGISTICS,
a leader in fleet management and GPS tracking headquartered
in Kingston, has added a government contract division
to its existing company operation. The newly formed division
will focus its efforts on identifying, contacting and
submitting proposals to various local, county and state
agencies that operate vehicle fleets.

JUDITH M. BRUSH, vice president at Creative Media
Productions Inc. in LaGrangeville, was appointed to
chair the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s
newly formed membership alliance committee. The committee
consists of an assembly of
nonregional chambers of commerce and business organization
leaders.
JOSEPH THOMPSON of Walden was appointed project manager
of Minuta Architecture P.L.L.C., a full-service architectural
firm specializing in commercial, retail and residential
projects, located in New Windsor. Prior to that, he
was a carpenter with TYT Construction in Pine Bush.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural
engineering from Alfred State College.
ULSTER FEDERAL
CREDIT UNION (FCU) announced promotions in its Ellenville branch.
JAYME FRIEDRICH of Napanoch has been
promoted to the position of assistant branch manager.
Friedrich began her career at Ulster FCU in January
of 2006 as a teller and prior to her recent promotion,
was the head teller at the Ellenville branch. As assistant
branch manager, Friedrich’s duties will include opening
accounts, dispersing loans and conducting member transactions.
KIM
MANSFIELD of Ellenville has been promoted to the position
of member services representative where she will work
closely with members on their short- and long-term
financial needs. Mansfield was originally hired in
2006 as a teller and then promoted to the position
of senior teller.
