Credits Clients Awards

 

ALL BRIGHT ELECTRIC, a large electrical company in the Hudson Valley serving clients across the tri-state area, has acquired Mard Electric Contracting Corp. of Denville, N.J., Eastern Electric Contracting Corp. of White Plains and Hammond Electric Inc. of Mount Kisco. The various company offices will be consolidated within All Bright’s main location in West Nyack.

 

CENTURY 21 GRAND, the leading Century 21 affiliate in the Hudson Valley, has announced that it has merged with Century 21 Anarumo-ZOAR of Newburgh. As part of the transaction, Century 21 Grand hopes to vacate its 1,300-square-foot location at 1227 Route 300 in Newburgh and move into the newly constructed 15,000-square-foot office center at Route 300 and Old South Plank Road in Newburgh. Thomas Anarumo, the broker and president of Century 21 Anarumo-ZOAR Realty, will serve as Century 21 Grand’s director of commercial services.

 

Clarkstown Supervisor Alex Gromack announced that the LAKE NANUET POOL COMPLEX has received the New York State Recreation and Parks Society Outstanding Facility Award. The honor is awarded to a governmental agency or organization that has shown outstanding and unique achievement in parks and recreation facility design and development. 

 

MCLAREN ENGINEERING GROUP of West Nyack received the 2007 Special Infrastructure Award from the Urban Land Institute, an international nonprofit research and education organization dedicated to responsible land use and the creation and sustenance of thriving communities worldwide. McLaren Engineering Group was part of the design team that received the award for the Weehawken Ferry Terminal in New Jersey.

 

 


Newsmakers

 

DR. EDGAR M. ALVAREZ of LaGrangeville, an oncologist and hematologist, was appointed to the medical staff at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel. Affiliated with Hudson Valley Hematology-Oncology Associates and board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Alvarez received his medical degree from the University of the Philippines Medical School.

 

GERALDINE A. CARBONARO of Milton joined Sawyer Savings Bank as assistant branch manager at the bank’s Marlboro office. Most recently, she worked at HSBC Bank in Pleasant Valley and Citibank in Suffern.

 

HIGH HOTELS Ltd., an affiliate of High Real Estate Group, in Lancaster, Pa., announced the following appointments.

ANNA MARIE BUCHALSKI of Washingtonville was promoted to the position of director of sales and marketing at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Middletown. Most recently, she was sales coordinator for the Hampton Inn in Middletown. She holds an associate degree in human resources management from Marymount Manhattan College.

KERI GREER of Newburgh was appointed director of sales and marketing for the Hampton Inn, Middletown. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and administration from Mount Saint Mary College.

MARY VILORD of Suffern was appointed president and chied executive officer of United Way of Rockland County Inc., a local, independent nonprofit dedicated to building a stronger Rockland community. Most recently, she served as deputy executive director of the Westchester/Hudson Valley chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in White Plains.
