Vanacore, DeBenedictus,
DiGovanni & Weddell L.L.P.,
CPAs announced their relocation in
Dutchess County. Their new offices will be located
at 2622 South Ave., Wappingers Falls. The move will
double the amount of office space, which is needed
to meet their strategic plans.
The city of Poughkeepsie was awarded
$600,951 for the rehabilitation of two vacant, distressed
buildings in the Cottage Street Industrial Corridor.
The grant money is part of $100 million that comprises
Year Two funding for the Restore New York’s
Communities Initiative (Restore-NY), a program
designed to aid municipalities in rehabilitating or removing
obsolete or rundown commercial and residential properties.
The goal is to make the sites attractive to residents
and businesses searching for new investment opportunities.

director of human resources at Independent
Living Inc.,
a consumer-directed, cross-disability organization
dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for persons
with disabilities, Newburgh. She holds a Bachelor of
Science degree in business administration from the
University at Albany and a dual Master of Business
Administration in finance and human resources management
from Pace University’s
Lubin Graduate School of Business.
MICHAEL FORBES of Hyde Park was appointed communications
manager of International Association
of Outsourcing Professionals, Poughkeepsie. He holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree in history from the University of Maine
and a Master of Business Administration with a marketing

services coordinator of the Dutchess

property consists of 56 garden apartment units and
was sold by an affiliated entity of Houlihan Parnes
for approximately $33,000 per unit. The seller, Coolidge
Lockport L.L.C., was represented by W. Stephen Tierney
of Woods, Oviott Gilman L.L.P. Christine O’Connell
More brokered the transaction for Coolidge.
