Lois Pearson of Pine Bush was promoted to vice president of treatment services at McQuade Children’s Services, New Windsor, a not-for-profit organization that provides therapeutic residential care, special education, community group homes, emergency shelter services and preventive outreach programs for children and their families. Since 1992, Pearson was social service administrator. Prior to that, she was social service supervisor. She joined McQuade in 1984. Pearson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Montana and a Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas.

James Gambardella of Brewster was promoted to director of food and beverage at Doral Arrowwood, Rye Brook, a conference center and resort. Since 2003, Gambardella was executive chef. He joined Doral in 1996 as culinary director. Prior to that, he was executive banquet chef at the Rainbow Room, New York City. Gambardella is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.

Karen Holubis of Brewster was appointed an employment specialist at Ability Beyond Disability, Bethel, Conn., and Mount Kisco, a nonprofit organization that provides services for people with disabilities. Since 2003, Holubis was an employment specialist and corporate outreach communicator in the Valhalla office of Careers For People With Disabilities. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in human ecology from the State University of New York at Oneonta.

Carl Capuano of Bardonia, senior vice president at Provident Bank, Montebello, was appointed to the board of trustees of St. Thomas Aquinas College, Sparkill. Capuano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and computer science from Fordham University and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Pace University.
