Bidding adieu to summer in style

The Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce capped off the end of summer in style with a tented event at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, Aug. 22. More than 400 people attended the smorgasbord of food, fun and plenty of networking, topped by a “reverse” raffle drawing for a new Harley Davidson. The last two “losers,” were offered the option of $10,000 in cash to split between them or take the chance -- only one could win the door prize, the other the Harley. Both opted to split the $10,000. Winners of the grand prize were Reginald Fuller of Key Bank and Jeffrey Senst, president of S&L Construction Services, Pleasant Valley. All proceeds raised during the chamber’s Centennial Celebration went to its foundation scholarship fund. Here are some of the stylish revelers.
