Terri R. Sherman of Washingtonville was appointed vice president and comptroller of Elant, Inc., Goshen, a not-for-profit long-term-care network. Since 2003, Sherman was president of Aurora Consulting Services Ltd., Washingtonville. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Northeastern University.

Patrizia F. Tesman of Newburgh was promoted to branch manager of the Wappingers Falls office of the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. Since January 2005, Tesman was branch supervisor in the credit union’s Fishkill office. She joined the credit union in 1998.

William H. Whalen III of Newburgh, chairman of Finnegan’s/Mayflower Moving & Warehouse Corp., Newburgh, a moving and storage company, was elected president of the Newburgh Family YMCA, Newburgh. Whalen has served on the organization’s board of directors since 2005.
