Mary S. Paden of Fishkill was appointed vice president in the Hawthorne office of The Community Preservation Corp., a not-for-profit mortgage lender that finances residential multifamily developments. Since 1999, Paden was as vice president, community development lender for the Hudson Valley district at KeyBank. Prior to that, she was to vice president, Community Reinvestment Act and community development officer at the Bank of Hudson (currently TD Bank North). Paden holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and finance from Pace University. She is also a graduate of the National Community Development Lending School at the University of California at Berkeley.

Stephanie Garrison of Kingston was appointed vice president of marketing at Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Kingston. Most recently, Garrison was as vice president of marketing and business development at Binghamton-based GHS Federal Credit Union. Prior to that, she held a marketing position with BSB Bank & Trust. Garrison holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and a master’s degree from Elmira College.

Lindsay A. Burt of Poughkeepsie was appointed associate registrar at Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh. Most recently, Burt was coordinator of transfer articulation in the registrar’s office at American University. Burt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from the University of Delaware and a Master of Arts degree in international development from American University.

Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell L.L.P., Newburgh, certified public accountants and business development consultants, announced the following promotions.

Angela Dauerer of Cornwall was promoted to a manager in the client service department. Dauerer was formerly a senior accountant. She joined the firm in 2001.

Sandra Clohessy of New Windsor was promoted to a senior tax accountant. Clohessy joined the firm in 2004 as an in-charge accountant.

Collen Fowler of Modena was promoted to an in-charge accountant. Fowler joined the firm in 2005 as a junior accountant.

William Avon of LaGrangeville joined Ryan Insurance, Kingston, a subsidiary of Ulster Savings Bank, as an insurance and benefits consultant. Avon has several years of insurance sales experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Kevin Dranoff of Montebello was appointed head chef at Morton’s The Steakhouse in White Plains. Dranoff has nearly 30 years of experience as a chef. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
