Stephen Hack of Kingston was promoted to vice president, commercial lending at Ulster Savings Bank, Kingston. Since 2004, Hack was assistant vice president, commercial lending and Community Reinvestment Act officer. Prior to that, he was assistant vice president, systems officer. He joined the bank in 1991. Hack holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Purdue University. He is also a graduate of the National School of Banking at Fairfield University and the Central Atlantic School of Commercial Lending at Bucknell University.

Michele Rinaldi of Stony Point was appointed executive director at Adopt-A-Dog Inc., Greenwich, Conn., and Armonk, an animal rescue and adoption nonprofit organization. Most recently, Rinaldi was manager of The Animal Hospital of Berlin, Kensington, Conn. Before that, she was a veterinary technician and supervisor at the Veterinary Referral Center, Little Falls, N.J. Rinaldi holds both a Bachelor Science degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in veterinary technology from Mercy College, a Master of Science degree in special education from The College of New Rochelle and a Master of Science degree in educational administration from Pace University.

TEG Federal Credit Union, Poughkeepsie, announced the following appointments.

Peter Olson of Highland joined the credit union as director of information technology. Most recently, Olson was network administrator at Gilman Ciocia Inc., Poughkeepsie. Prior to that, he was a network/system administrator at ALOS Micrographics Corp., Montgomery. Before that, he was a billing/systems accountant and PC/network support supervisor at Chicago Title Credit Services, Kingston. Olson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.

Christine Gerhardt of Beacon joined the credit union as branch manager of its Fishkill office. Most recently, Gerhard was office manager of the Newburgh branch of Citizen’s Bank. Prior to that, she worked in the Newburgh office of Charter One Bank, culminating as assistant bank manager and previously as a senior customer service specialist.

Hillside Cos., Newburgh, a construction and real estate development company, announced the following appointments.

Jeffrey Weiner of Walden joined the company as a project manager. Weiner has more than 20 years of construction experience, most recently as president and owner of a construction company in Pine Bush.

Christin Keating of New Windsor joined the company as bookkeeper. Since 1999, Keating was a field office manager for a Manhattan-based industrial construction company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and human resources from Mount St. Mary College.

Joseph M. Carbo of Wappingers was promoted to producing sales manager at HVFCU Financial Services at Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Poughkeepsie, a provider of retirement planning, investments, insurance, estate planning and trust services. Carbo continues as senior financial consultant in the Hopewell Junction branch, a position he assumed in 2005. He joined HVFCU Financial Services in 2003 as a financial consultant. Prior to that, he was director of financial services at Premier National Bank, based in LaGrange.

Pattern for Progress, Newburgh, a regional research, policy, planning and advocacy organization that strives to preserve and enhance the quality of life in the Hudson River Valley, announced the appointment of the following individuals to its board of directors.

Suzanne Rhulen Loughlin of Rock Hill, chief administrative officer of Firestorm Solutions L.L.C., Rock Hill, a crisis management firm, joined the board. Loughlin holds bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from New York Law School.

Marjorie Rovereto of Kingston, president and chief executive officer of Ulster Savings Bank, Kingston, joined the board. Rovereto holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany. She is also a graduate of National School of Banking at Fairfield University.

Howard Kaufman of Yonkers, a principal at LeylandAlliance L.L.C., Tuxedo, a real estate development firm, joined the board. Kaufman holds bachelor’s degree from Queen’s College and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Harvard University.

Allen Zick of Circleville, manager of the Goshen office of Merrill Lynch, a financial services firm, was named to the board of directors of Inspire, Goshen, a not-for-profit charitable organization, officially known as Orange County Cerebral Palsy Association Inc. Zick holds a bachelor’s degree the U.S. Military Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from Syracuse University.
