Nearly 200 Elant supporters at Anthony’s Pier 9, March 23, enjoyed more than the breakfast, which was served. The date was just one week shy of the deadline to pass the New York state budget and many wanted to use the occasion not only to kick off the nonprofit’s capital campaign for Elant at Newburgh but to (kick) some Albany lawmakers for what they consider a lack of support for workers and for those relying on health-care services.
