When Paul Hancock started building his antennae television network system in Connecticut during the 1960s, the visionary’s own entrepreneurial antennae were up. Twelve rural towns with good television reception paid off for Hancock. In 1978, begging and borrowing from relatives, he hired two employees and started bringing television to his neighbors. By 1992, New Milford Cablevision was a multimillion-dollar franchise. Hancock sold his shares of the company and decided to embark on a new life.

 

 

 

More than 30 farmers and food producers from the region packed the Westchester County Center in White Plains the weekend of March 17 for the area’s first-ever Pride of New York MarketPlace Farm, Food and Fun Fest.

 

 

 

Business organizations and tourism groups are busy planning events throughout the region.

In Dutchess County, the Southern Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for a business and consumer expo on May 17 called the Connection Business and Consumer Showcase.
