Dr. Karl P. Adler of Manhattan
was appointed president and chief executive officer
of New York Medical College, Valhalla. Since 1994, Adler
was president and CEO of St. Vincent’s Hospital and
Medical Center, Manhattan. From 1987 to 1994, he worked
at New York Medical College as dean of the School of
Medicine and vice president for medical affairs. Prior
to that, he was chief of the department of medicine
at Metropolitan Hospital Center, Manhattan. Adler holds
a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and a
medical degree from Georgetown University.
Gerald J. Klein Jr. of Sherman,
Conn., was promoted to president and chief executive
officer of Mahopac National Bank, Mahopac. Since 2003,
Klein was executive vice president for lending and credit.
He joined the bank in 1995 as senior vice president
and senior loan officer. Prior to that, he was a regional
vice president at Hudson Valley Bank, Yonkers. Klein
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from
Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of
Business Administration degree in finance from Long

Daniel Tillotson of Tarrytown
was appointed chief operating officer of the Westchester
Institute for Human Development, Valhalla, a nonprofit
organization that provides services to individuals with
developmental disabilities. Most recently, Tillotson
was director of marketing at CureMD, New York City.
Prior to that, he was president of Mirus Health Care,
Fairlawn, N.J. Tillotson holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in business administration from the University

Susan Hadden Swensen of
Circleville was appointed vice president and manager
of the new Rockland County branch of Hudson Valley Bank,
based in New City. Most recently, Swensen an assistant
vice president and client service manager in the Middletown
office of Provident Bank. Prior to that, she worked
for more than 20 years at The Bank of New York, culminating
as a vice president and manager of its Nyack branch.
Stacey Renner of Hyde Park
was appointed treasurer at CH Energy Group Inc., Poughkeepsie,
an energy company. Since June 2005, Renner was assistant
treasurer. He rejoined CH Energy Group in 2003 as director
of investment planning and analysis. Prior to that,
he worked in the global services division of IBM Corp.
Renner holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Union
College and a Master of Business Administration degree
from Marist College.
Ryan Batz of Easton, Pa.,
was appointed golf course superintendent at Trump National
Golf Club, Westchester, Briarcliff Manor, a golf property
managed by Trump Golf Properties L.L.C. Most recently,
Batz was golf course superintendent at Trump National
Golf Club, Bedminster, in Bedminster, N.J. Prior to
that, he was assistant superintendent at East Hampton
Golf Club, East Hampton. Before that, he was assistant
superintendent at Moraga Country Club, Moraga, Calif.
Batz holds a bachelor’s degree in turf-grass science
from Penn State University.
Michaela Mitchell of Queens
was appointed a services manager in the Mount Kisco
office of Ability Beyond Disability, a not-for-profit
organization that provides services to individuals with
disabilities. Most recently, Mitchell was a staff attorney
at Greater Hartford Legal Aid Inc., Hartford, Conn.
Prior to that, she was a program services coordinator
at Didlake Inc., Manassas, Va. Mitchell holds a Bachelor
of Arts degree in psychology from Hampton University
and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Quinnipiac
University.
Patricia Ann Hughes of New
City was promoted to an assistant vice president at
Orangeburg-based Union State Bank. Hughes has been manager
of the bank’s Pearl River branch since 2003. Prior to
that, she was manager of its Orangeburg branch. She
joined the bank in 1989.
Harding Mason of Waccabuc,
an associate broker in the Katonah office of Houlihan
Lawrence, a residential real estate brokerage firm,
was elected president of the Westchester County Board
of Realtors Inc., White Plains, a membership organization
of licensed real estate professionals and members of
allied real estate professions. Mason previously served
as a vice president and secretary-treasurer of the organization.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston
University.
Mark Boyland of Bedford,
an associate broker in the White Plains office of Keller
Williams NY Realty, a residential real estate brokerage
firm, was elected president of the Westchester-Putnam
Multiple Listing Service Inc., an organization that
maintains a database of real estate properties listed
by participating offices and individual Realtors doing
business in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties.
Boyland previously served as treasurer of the organization.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from
the State University of New York at New Paltz.
